UST remains undefeated in UAAP taekwondo

University of Santo Tomas remained undefeated in both the men’s and women’s divisions midway through the Season 81 taekwondo tournament Thursday at Blue Eagle Gym.

The Tiger Jins own a perfect 2-0 slate in the men’s division and 3-0 in the women’s division after getting past De La Salle, 3-4, in Day 2.

National University also owns a 3-0 card in the women’s division after it overpowered Far Eastern University, 7-0, to tie UST atop the standings.

University of the Philippines sits at the second spot of the men’s division with a 3-1 slate after a 4-3 win over Ateneo while NU’s men’s team scored a 6-1 victory over University of the East.

NU and UE are at second-place tie in the men’s division with 2-1 records.

The Lady Eagles erased their 0-2 start and jumped to the third seed in the women’s division with a 2-2 record after wins over the Lady Tamaraws, 7-0, and the Lady Warriors, 4-3.

The last day of the tournament is on Friday and will start at 9 am.
