Malls waive overnight parking fees as ‘Tisoy’ hits PH

MANILA, Philippines — Several SM malls across the country waived their overnight parking charges starting Monday for those seeking temporary shelter from the onslaught of Typhoon Tisoy (internationally known as Kammuri).

Some malls are also offering free WiFi services, as well as charging and water stations.

Following are the malls that waived the fees and are offering free WiFi and charging and water stations:

  • SM City Sta. Rosa
  • SM City Calamba
  • SM City San Pablo
  • SM City Rosario
  • SM City Marikina
  • SM City Masinag
  • SM City San Mateo
  • SM City Manila
  • SM City San Lazaro

Malls with waived overnight parking fees and free WiFi:

  • SM City Tarlac
  • SM City Olongapo Central
  • SM City Olongapo Downtown
  • SM City East Ortigas
  • SM Center Angono
  • SM City Taytay

Malls with waived overnight fees:

  • SM Center Pulilan
  • SM City North EDSA
  • SM City Bicutan
  • SM Center Muntinlupa
  • SM Center Las Pinas
  • SM City Sta. Mesa
  • SM City BF Paranaque
  • SM City Sucat
  • SM City Valenzuela

According to the bulletin issued at 5 p.m. on Tuesday by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, Tisoy was located 110 km northwest of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, with maximum sustained winds of up to 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 200 kph as of 4 p.m.
