They have both long been teased as a couple but parents of Kapamilya singers Angeline Quinto and Erik Santos seriously want them to marry each other.

Even long before Quinto was able to carve her way into showbiz, she already confesses to be a fan of Santos, so is her adoptive mother Sylvia Quinto whom she affectionately calls Mama Bab.

“Si Mama Bab kasi gustong-gusto talaga si Erik simula noon, lagi ko nga po kinukwento sa kanya na fan mo ako, before pa po ako magkaroon ng trabaho dito sa ABS talagang fan ako ng isang Erik Santos,” she said in her Thursday guesting on Kapamilya daily morning talk show  “Magandang Buhay” together with Santos.

“So everytime talaga na nag-so-show kami nagkakaroon talaga ng pagkakataon na nasasabi ko ‘yun sa kanya. So si Mama Bab, kahit noon pa lang na nasa ‘Star in a Million’ siya gustong-gusto na siya ng nanay ko,” she added.

That’s why when Quinto had the chance to work with Santos, it was to her mom’s delight.

Likewise, Santos’ family feels the same way about Quinto.

He is so close to Quinto’s mom that they’re comfortable enough throwing jokes about marriage.

The two have long been issues together but have remained steadfast to their stance that they are just friends.   /muf
